Assemble the tools that will be needed for the job when you are ready to begin. A circular saw, hammer, screwdriver, sawhorse, level, framing square and tape measure will be the basic tools needed for most building projects. Purchasing the materials for construction comes next; most lumber companies offer delivery of the materials and hardware you select. All that remains now is setting aside a weekend or two of free time for the actual construction.
